  JW's help each other...that's good.

  JW's don't typically help anyone outside of their sphere of influence.

  Charity, as a Christian, should be showed to anyone who needs it. An organization that helps only its own is not charitable, it's investing!

  From the movie, Angels and Demons, "My church feeds the hungry. My church comforts the sick and the dying. What does your church do?" That may well sum up what Christianity is all about...at least in the beginning. No true church exists today that follows that example to the same degree.

  Would Your Family Stone You to Death?

  ot law required jews to take the lead in stoning a family member who became apostate.. the watchtower has lamented the fact that the law of the land now forbids them from doing so.. if the law permitted it, as it does in some musim countries, and if the watchtower required it, would your family obey?.

  my parents are good people and i believe their love for me is genuine, but i think they would follow orders.. what about yours?.

  One of my parents would throw a large rock while diverting their eyes. One of my siblings would gather a pile of rocks so that they could complete the task with minimal downtime. One would hold my garments like Saul. The other would jump in front of me and take the blows with me. The rest would be on vacation.

  Why Did the Governing Body Change Their Interpretation Of Matthew 24:45-47?

  some have wondered if "captives of a concept" had anything to do with why the governing body changed their interpretation of the most important scripture in their theology at their annual meeting on october 6, 2012.. this is because the book places great emphasis on the societys interpretation of matthew 24:45-47 and then holds them to it while examining the organizations history to make sure that went on in its history fits their interpretation.

  this comparison is essential to the societys claim to being gods organization.. their previous interpretation came from their former most imminent bible scholar president frederick franzs in his "gods kingdom of a thousand years has approached.

  " their history comes from their "jehovahs witnesses proclaimers of gods kingdom.".

  Thank you for the insightful post. There are many things that spur on the type of changes we have seen over the past few years. I believe that "Captives" may indeed have had some effect. I believe, moreso, that there is a single element that has had more to do with these changes than anything else....Narcissism. That's right...I said it. These GB believe that THEY are the fulfillment of prophecy. They must believe that Jah's timetable was simply waiting for each of them to be added to the mix. Kind of like when all the planets align in some hollywood type sci-fi movie. When that happens, bad things are gonna take place.

  I encourage everyone to examine the history of the Borgia's and the Rovere's in Italy during Michelangelo, particularly as it relates to their belief about being destined by God to see prophecy fulfilled through them. Interesting similarities with this GB's mindset.

  So the local KH "rainy day fund" is no more. Congregation expenses for three months and MAYBE a 5K reserve. This is brilliant. Get rid of the DO's, make the CO's solely responsible. Tell the CO's to "remind" the congregations of the arrangement. Liquidate accounts and send to the ORG.

  Pure genius!

  Old timers who grew up with the "save for a rainy day" mentality will not like this. New ones will stop giving based on the announcement that the majority of the reserves were sent directly to the ORG. Me thinks this will backfire
